Staff Recruitment Policy

Our qualified and experienced staff are carefully selected and are chosen for their patience, positive attitude, communication skills and above all, their love of and dedication to children.

Every member of staff must hold a diploma in Nursery Nursing (NNEB or equivalent) or a diploma in Pre-school Teaching.

The majority of our staff hold a valid First Aid Certificate for children and young babies. There will be an appointed First Aider for each session.

No member of staff will be left unsupervised until their competence and suitability has been established through a period of close supervision. Should there be volunteers or students in training within Bizzi Lizzi's, they will never, under any circumstances be left unsupervised.

Staff and Group Sizes

The quality of care that we aim to provide at Bizzi Lizzi's is reflected in our group sizes. 
The maximum number of children at any one time will not exceed 14 children per 3 members of staff.

These ratio's fall well within local authority guidelines which permits a maximum of 7 children per staff member


Current Vacancy

Nursery Nurse wanted to assist in the day to day running of our small, private preschool. Duties will include but are not limited to: set up in the morning, preparing/creating activities, potty training, maintaining a safe environment and harmonious group, communicating with parents, daily cleaning and portfolios.

Qualified nursery nurse / pedagogic carer / preschool teacher to join our small team. Candidates must reside in Amsterdam and hold a relevant and recognised child care / pedagogic qualification. Qualities we seek are: Happy disposition, creativity and commitment. Previous experience with early years learning and third culture kids would be an added bonus.
Must have a good command of English.
Salary Benefits:
  • Salary dependent on qualifications and experience.
  • 6 weeks paid leave per year.

  • 28 hours hours per week
